The crux of the argument lies in the time and importance of preparation to achieve just such a moment of ecstasy, or fulfillment, the preparation lying in ritual. Concentrates in his discussion on religion, love, loss of ritual, literature, modern life and sex. (7pp). Contains a rough illustration of Larkin and Sutton; and one of a woman, in colour.
