Reciting that T.A. has purchased (from George Tocketts of Tocketts esq.; Seth Lazenby of Huntington, yeoman; and Mr. Emerson, by three separate deeds) 3 messuages and 6 oxgangs in all in Normanby; that he wishes to bestow the 6 oxgangs on his younger son Henry A., who has been obedient to him and looked after his affairs in his old age, rather than on his son & heir Thomas A., who has neglected his filial duty and who, the father fears, 'will hardlye leave that to his posterity which will be left to him'; but that because of the location of the 6 oxgangs, this will be inconvenient to those who shall enjoy the rest of the father's lands.
