Television series ('Message to You Rudy') by Alan Plater from an idea by Lenny Henry, about a Jamaican policeman and part-time jazz singer in the 1950s who comes to England in hopes of a better life, but ends up investigating the murder of a friend. Contains an early draft screenplay for Episode 3, an amended screenplay for Episode 3 (28 Oct 1994), a screenplay for Episode 4, as well as letters from Alan Plater and a fax from Lenny Henry (1994-1995) with notes about the series.
