BBC television series by Alan Plater about a lecturer who has recently been made redundant and decides to use his time to visit his favourite crossword compiler, only to find the compiler's house ransacked. The lecturer ('Oliver') determines to find out why. First broadcast in Jun-Jul 1995. Contains a script for Episode 6, 'Do we look like that?'; a letter from the BBC about amendments to the programme (4 Jan 1994); two copies of the script for Episode 5, 'What's the opposite of Chinese boxes?' (amended 26 Mar and 21 May 1994); three copies of the script for Episode 4, 'The Farquhar connection'; a photocopied poem, and correspondence between Alan Plater and Cunliffe (forwarded by Plater's agent to Ruth Caleb, Head of Drama, BBC Wales) (1994).
