- BBC Television scripts by Alan Plater. Softly Softly was developed as a spin-off from Z-Cars and followed CID officers based in the fictional area of Wyvern, near Bristol. Contains a rehearsal script for the episode 'On Christmas Day in the morning' (first broadcast Dec 1968) and a copy typescript for the episode 'An old song' (first broadcast Nov 1968).
