Eliza asks him not to think of coming to Edinburgh now but that if she is still there at Christmas she would see him visit her, refers to the progress of her treatment under Mr Beveridge, asks him not to talk about her health at home and states she wants to be well before she meets his mother, refers to dinner at Mr Wylie's house and Bagehot's 'triumph over 'Money' in the Economist', refers to the benefits of listening to piano, refers to having Mansfield Park read aloud.
