Description:

Ottringham is 12 miles south east from Hull. It is thought that there were two schools in Ottringham at this time. A small free school accommodating 20 children and The National School erected in the late 1830s which held up to 100 children. From the information available it is not possible to indicate which of these schools the material relates to.
