Four exercise books from two different schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Welwick School and Ottringham School. The books consist of various calculations and mathematical problems and numerous diagrams, many carefully painted. They provide a rare insight into the teaching of mathematics in schools in the mid 19th century.
