Admin History:

The West family were forebears of Joseph Walter West (1860-1933), artist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Watercolourists. George Holborn (see U DX403/5) married Mary Bullivant and their daughter, Grace, married Edward West (see U DX403/1). Their grandson, Alfred West, was the father of Joseph Walter West.

This small collection includes wills and marriage certificates of several Hull Quakers, along with a plan of the Quaker burial ground in Hull and an account of a meeting with the Russian Emperor Alexander II.
