Additional records relating to the British Gas Light Company include:- Building records at C TAB (1893-1939), printed accounts at C CQF/1 (1892-1908), contracts and correspondence with the Sculcoates Improvement Commissioners (C ICS), (18241850), correspondence with the Hull Board of Health at C BHH (1853-1872), letters from the Hull Edcuation Committee can be found at C TED/1 (1903-1908), plans and letters from the Hull land agents, Hebblethwaites, within C BDHT, (1891-1940) and at C DBR are records relating to orders from Rose, Down and Thompsons, a Hull engineering operation, (1875-1942). Records for other gas companies in the area include:- C DBHG, the Hessle Gas Company (1923-1948), the Kingston upon Hull Gas Light Company at C GC (1753-1930) and the Sutton, Stoneferry and Drypool, later East Hull, Gas Company at L DBSS1864-1935.
