Donated by the daughter of former Managing Director, Leonard Thomas Barker. By 1973 King's had been taken over by Ferguson Industrial Holdings who had their head office at Appleby Castle. It is thought that some of these records were passed to Leonard during the time of closure of Kings in Hull in the early 1970s. It was only shortly after his wife's death in 2021 that they were deposited with Hull History Centre by his daughter, Susan.
