References a card sent by Jones reminding him of 'The Poet Answered', having received a present of a salad bowl from his mother, having had a lunch of 'sole and strawberrys and chablis', listening to Royal National Eisteddfod in Welsh whilst writing this letter, visit to Kegworth to see the Rexes, expresses feeling 'I'm much too good at imagining happier or more virtuous lives', promises to write again once his birthday is over. Envelope present with postmark Loughbrough. Sent to Jones at Haydon Bridge. Manuscript. Photocopy.
