Reference to not having been in touch, Richard fishing, Jones' cottage at Haydon Bridge, Richard finishing a book on Dostoievsky, planning a day in the Dales, family news, reading the 'Biography' with great interest, writer had only ever been to Newland Park since Jones was living there, the first occasion being in Jan 1984 which was also the first time she met Jones, describes how she knew Philip [Larkin], gave class in Bristol last term on the poetry of Thomas Hardy and Philip Larkin and has been asked to do another, has also been asked to do a day school on poetry, Cathy living in the Bristol flat and rehersing with a Bristol based theatre company, visit to Harewood House with Mary, is going to local history class involving walks around Otley, would like to come to Hull and visit Jones.
